Re: Good if you can do it

Ben, the River Nadder mate. I am lucky that there are five rivers running through Salisbury.

The Avon, Wyle, Nadder, Eble and Bourne. Some great fishing I believe (I'm not a coarse fisherman).

Just back from scouting the river for this evening. Hundreds of them just basking in the sun. And I bet I still don't catch one....

Re: Good if you can do it

Thanks Ben.

Does anyone know if you can carry on fishing a mark once you have caught a trout from it or do the fish spook and you have to move on?

Re: Good if you can do it

i think its generaly best to move although i guess it depends if the fish move
while i was on work experience i had to do alot of work in the river at a trout and salmon fishery i went to and fish didnt seem to mind you being in there splashing around

i always find with carp that they move away for a while, and then if you go back to the swim like 10-30 mins later they'll be back, but trout maybe different

good luck with it anyway

Re: Good if you can do it

yeah, but we don't get trout in my rivers (don't think) so he's probaly talking about a proper trout lake, like we have down here which are open all year round
