I've been fly fishing

Not very often I post a catch report in here

Me and Chris were biking around, when we saw a bloke fly fishing on a small river. We decided to go back and get 1 rod, 1 reel and 1 fly (home-made by Chris)

There were lots of daddy long legs being taken on the surface, great sight. I dropped the fly in to see if it floated, and within a second a trout was on, a great fight, but I lost it just before the net...gutted!

Chris's turn with the rod next, 1st cast and he catches a lovely brown trout of about 1lb. Lovely looking fish.

The pic is on his camera, hopefully I should have it soon.

The fly was orange and blue cotton wrapped round the hook and then tails off

We'll be back tomorrow, and I'll get a few pics (and hopefully some points)

Think I'll take up this fly fishing malarky

It's not mate, there's a certain stretch that is private which is clearly marked with posts/fences etc..
