Re: hayes farm

Does anyone still fish Hayes?

Haven't been there for years I seem to remember that it was cheap compared to most trout fisheries in the southeast region.

Shouldn't think it would be more than £25ish - and that's for a six fish limit.

Why not give them a ring?

Re: hayes farm

I went down with my mate about a couple of months ago just to have a look around.Chocked with weed and water levels very low, there were however a few fish moving out in the middle.Spoke to a guy who showed us the fishery, said leave it until the colder weather and rains arrive.
Have heard various reports from an ok place to a s###e hole.Well it looked ok to us,not a great looking spot but certainly not a dump either.
We know someone who does fish it from time to time and he reckons it is not stocked to any pattern,so you really do take a chance on stocking levels.
Having said all the above,we will be giving it a try towards March/April as i feel that is possibly going to be the optimum period.

Re: hayes farm

Have never fished Hayes Farm but I went to a place near there many years ago that you had to drive through a PYO fruit farm to get to but for the life of me I cant remember what it was called , it used to have a few Goldfish swimming amongst the Trout and I had 1 of 2lb which fought better than the Trout did
