What kind of waders? Firstly, sorry if this is a stupid question. I know absolutely nothing about fishing at all, so bear with me! My dad loves to fish and I was hoping to get him some new waders for his christmas. I found a pair for about £100 and thought, I'll get them. Chest booted neoprene waders. But then I got confused! I realized waders go from about £50 to £600 and have stocking foot and boot. Ideally I hadnt been looking at spending over £100, but I dont want to get him the wrong thing, or something rubbish. Again, I'm really sorry for not being very clued up in all this! I'm being a complete and utter girl here! lol! But I could really be doing with some advice. Cheers in advance! Claire

Re: What kind of waders? Hi clairecat, the prospect of buying waders can be daunting, even if they`re for yourself. Boot foot waders can be worn right away, as they are the finished item. Stocking foot however, you will also have to buy wading boots to match ( the general rule is to buy wading boots, one size up from your usual shoe size, this is to prevent chaffing of the stocking material), which is a bit more expensive. I was in the Glasgow Angling Centre for tying materials last week and they had some good deals on neoprene bootfoot waders, check out their website. The first waders I ever bought, were Ron Thompson chest neoprene bootfoots, had them for years, easy to mend, warm in winter. http://www.fishingmegastore.com/game...-tackle_2.html Peter ![]()

Re: What kind of waders? Thanks for your reply. I got super confused looking at them last night and opted to get him gift vouchers for the Glasgow Angling Centre. Figured that way he could try them on and get a good fit. :)
