waders

I must be the unluckiest angler ever.
Since March I have bought and returned 4 pairs of waders 1 pair split, the other 3 had leaking joint's.
In desperation I bought a pair of old [real, not made in China ones] result perfect, no wet feet

Re: waders

Hi flydog, there`s actually not a lot of fishing equipment that isn`t made in the Far East nowadays. Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, China and Malasia, cheap labour and low costs, maximum profits. Glad you finally got a pair of waders that are ok, must be a relief.

Hi D/S
The secondhand waders that I bought are Eiger, they are neoprene lined RUBBER not pvc.
I dont know if you have heard of them, but I can highly recommend them although being lined they do tend to make you sweat, but thats more preferable then wet legs

I had them make me some made to measure chest waders for launching my boat. The're supurb quality & not much more expensive than off the peg ones. They also used to make waders for the late Queen Mother back in her salmon fishing days...
I also recently bought some green rubber thigh waders from Lidl for less than £20. They have reinforced knees, are very comfortable & durable.

Hi Greenhart.
My waders actualy cost £38 so they were not really cheap ones.
One of my friends bought a pair from Aldi for £17 and they are great.
