hi all new to this forum just wondered if anyone can give me some names of trout fisheries near me

You'll get loads of good info and fishing chat here. Southampton is not an area I know but I'm sure Old Smoothound - our fly fishing guru - will be along to give you some info.

where are a few trout lakes in some of the farm out towards titchfield i think,or you might have to try colden common or twyford way
did see a program with john wilson the other week i'm sure it said he was fishing the test just north of romsey

Hi Clive, sorry I missed your post. Welcom to the forum

If you want some really good trout fishing then try and join Salisbury and District AA. They have some nice trout lakes plus miles and miles of Chalkstream fishing on the Nadder and river Wyle. Trout and Grayling.

As to small stillwaters I'm afraid I do not know your area very well.

But will try and fing out some info for you soon.

thanks for all your replies. been fishing on the river test for the past few weeks.plenty of grayling and rainbows was had. along with a few nice chub. dont know how to put pics on here so i cant show you.getting back to the fly fishing have decided on 2 places now dever springs or holbury lakes. any info anyone can give me on these lakes would be most appreciated

its only 60 quid for 4 fish thought that was cheap. as for what flies i need i havent got a clue. only fly fished a couple of times. but know how to cast. just wanted something to do until the season opens up again. getting board of shooting
