Basically at Dever you need to stalk the fish with lighweight rods and lines and use heavily leaded flies and drop them in front of the fishes nose and wait for the whites of the lips to show and then disappear....then strike and hope!

For £60 you could have two sessions in a boat on Blagdon over 2 days and have a 16 fish limit, plus still have change for the pub

What kind of shooting do you do.....Driven Pheasant, Rough, Pigeon clays?

got a few acres of land myself and brother shoot on. only for pest control rats rabbits etc. only got air-guns at the moment

Oi Oi clive2,

Take a look at Avon Springs in Durrington, Wiltshire. Nice fishery with two lakes and a good stretch of Hampshire Avon. The river has some nice brownies & grayling.
Like you I do a lot of 'pest' shooting with air rifles, though in my time have done a fair bit of game shooting & deer control.
