Have done a few swops.Usually around 10 people involved, all tie ten the same, send em in to organiser with postage and you get back 1 each of the others. Usually a certain fly is tied or variant of. Me,i do mostly small/medium size stillwater trouting. Just interested really as to if any swops went on.Can be interesting. I am not a brilliant tier, they catch me fish so that's all i'm interested in really, however some of the guys are artists ![]() |

| Re: Are there ever I have organised a few swaps on FFF and enjoy seeing what people use in other parts of the country. If enough are interested on here I would run it. |

| Mentioned before, that it would be interesting to try local flies from different places. I tie about 8 flies I use constantly on the river, 5 wets and 3 dries, which catch the whole season through, but I also like the Tieffi Terror( I hope that`s the right spelling), which I believe is a Welsh fly. All tying the same flies, seems a bit pointless, I`d much rather try a new fly altogether. I think it`s a good idea though. Peter ![]() |

| Re: Are there ever Hi guys Im up for this once my fly tying skills get a little abit better plus need to buy a few more materials to make different flys. I have been practicing tying lures like gold head fritz i know their easy but had to start somewhere.. now im trying different colour epoxy buzzers (im getting there) i lost a trout on one on sunday, it liked it that much it took off with it never to be seen again so they work.cheers mitch |
