Help !

A few of us are looking for a trout fishery to take a group of us for a days fluff chucking in march , now most are novices and a few pros , we will need to be able to hire gear and get a brekky and dinner , any ideas of such a fishery in hampshire , all help gratefully appreciated

Take a look at Woodington near Romsey.Only fished it once(another forum social day out) as its a hike for me.If it were nearer i would use it.However it has 4 pools,offers one bigger fish pool and catch and release on the other three.John the owner will sort you out with breakie,lunch and drinks.Pretty sure you can hire gear as well.
Moorhen and Meon Springs might also fit the bill.

The pools are not huge,but adequate. On the day we were there it had rained buckets and was very cold(forum xmas trip) and the pools had coloured up a bit.However we all had browns and rainbows to 7lb odd with plenty of 5lb fish from the bigger fish pool.
Moorhen is very nice,BUT they have stopped the catch and release,which is a shame.They stock some decent fish however.

also there's a small lake just west towards houghton from the john of gaunt pub at horsebridge, (not to be confused with the john of gaunt lakes @ kingsomborne,) i dunno who runs it now but someone in the pub might tell you.
