Lightbulb Fly Fishing - Forum Meet

Hi fellow fluff chuckers and budding fly fisherman...sorry..fisherpersons (politically corrected to protect the inncocent)

The Trout Season is not far way from starting this year, and to follow up on a hideous amount of requests I have an idea to stage a Forum Fluff Chucking meet at one of my local lakes...Harry's. The nights are starting to draw out again and we will soon be into British Summer Time mode.

I digress....So who is up for a fluff chucking meet sometime in March? (Excluding Bank Holiday weekend)

The cost of a day ticket to fish the lake is £5 plus Harry charges per kilo for fish caught. If you catch one over 5lbs..no charge just the cost of the day ticket.
You will also need an Environment Agency Rod Licence.

If people want a casting lesson then I can do this at a vastly reduced rate for Forum Members as a group charge of £15 per person or £10 per person for a group of 10 or more.
The Session will last as long as we want or until you get fed up of catching trout or you run out of money...whichever comes first!

I have a portable cooker and a Calor gas double burner stove plus a Gas BBQ so would be willing to bring them along to have hot food...(But not out of the back of my car!) You bring your own bacon and eggs or beefburgers or Lemon flavoured Sabayon to go with your trout . I also have one of those fold up benches that you can use to balance your pints on if needs must. (Its called a Wife )

I have masses of rods reels and lines and Fluff Chucker has a few as well for those who don't yet own a fly fishing outfit.

So put your name down and lets see who wants to learn how to fly fish.

Tight Lines..........

Talking Re: Fly Fishing - Forum Meet

Sounds fab but Brissel too far away for us furry scots! Shame would have been a great opportunity to show off my fab casting (better than most mens according to hubby). It's all down to my amazing natural rhythym apparently. Would have probably put most to shame .........

Cool Re: Fly Fishing - Forum Meet

Hi Y'all,

I have rods spare so no need to hire them. A freshwater licence is the one...for non-migratory species..the normal one. Fly lines, Flies etc...oh and a big landing net

Pike Gear .....MMmmmm would not go down very well! But could stop off at th River Kenn and have a chuck or two..depending on date of meet so long as its before the "Close " season.
