| Pheasant Feathers Hello I have just found a dead clck pheasant in the lane here, he is in excellent condition ( other than being dead of course) could anyone tell me exactly what feathers and from where on the bird should I take off for fly tying use, also maybe even tell me what each of the feathers from it are used for. | Re: Pheasant Feathers Hi rebelPeter, The most important thing about useing any road kills or any furs off mates is treating them for bugs. I tend to put mine in a sealed bag in the freezer for a couple of days , with out the misses knowing mind. They can infest the rest of your fly tying stuff ive learnt the hard way. Peter on the above post have mentioned what they can be used for G ood luck on your fly tying you get abetter buzz catching fish on your own flys. Jeff |

| Re: Pheasant Feathers keep these feathers in a bag with napthaline crystals this kills any bugs. You can get them at any fishing shop that does tying stuff. |
