| Season`s over Helped a friend to shift furniture 2 weeks ago and when I was lifting one end of the couch, I felt a searing pain from my fingers to my wrist. A&E confirmed I had damaged the ulna nerve - again , so now I have to wear a reinforced dressing during the day and a night splint, which in itself would drive you mad . This also means no fishing, darts, snooker/pool and back to physiotherapy. Thankfully it happened near the end of the season and not the start, (now that would have been unbearable), so it could have been worse. We had one session since my last post, but I never got round to posting, but I`ll try and do that later. I`ve been jealously reading some of the great reports in the fresh and sea fishing forums, well done guys. So l`m looking forward to next season now and hopefully start tying some new flies as soon as possible. Peter ![]() |

| Re: Season`s over Peter, Sorry to hear about your injury, hope you get well soon. I can sympathise, as I had sciatic nerve problems a year or so back, and it meant no fishing, guitar playing - or sleep! for couple months. Keep yer chin up. I will entertain you with tales of my autumn/winter pike fishing exploits over the next few months!!!!! |

Im going cod fishing tomorrow down Sudbook which is by the new 7 BRIDGE Iwill have a cast for you. | Re: Season`s over Sorry to hear your news mate. Would you be able to do sea fishing? Just put the worm and wait until fish comes. (That is what a beginner does. i.e. me ) |

| Not so bad, at least this time I know what to expect, but thanks for your comments. The damage I`m told, isn`t as bad as last time, but still as bl**dy sore though. Hi Jeff best of luck with the cod and the grayling fishing. Oh by the way, Ta Da!Mate said it was a close call ![]() Peter![]() Hi Turkish, we planned to do some sea fishing during the close, but I`ll have to leave it until after New Year. I don`t know about beginner, but you`ve done well this year have you not? Best of luck with your fishing Peter ![]() Hi Baz, looks like I won`t make the Glazert this year, maybe next year. Really enjoyed joining this forum, friendliest bunch of guys on here, and a wealth of information. Got me back into canal fishing, even want to try my hand at sea fishing. | Hi Steve, and cheers for that, It`s not as bad as the last time, but enough to ruin the end of the season. I can cast with both hands equally badly , but I can`t retrieve the line without aggravating the injury, so that`s one idea out the window. We were supposed to go sea fishing to Wemyss Bay in the Firth of Clyde during the closed season, that`s if I`m ok which hopefully I should be.Something to look forward to. How`s the fishing with you?Peter ![]() |
