Change of tactics

[Dubbed Squirrel]

We decided on another visit to the canal last week, enjoyed it so much the last time and it was a pleasant change from the river. I took the pole I bought in Malta, but forgot I took off the loop at the top, so I couldn`t use it. Anyway I had my 12ft Abu match rod, which got me over the nearside reeds and stuff. Wasn`t long before the perch started biting, the quill float diving every so often. Lost count of the number we caught, but it was great fun. Already looking forward to next month`s visit.
