Sorry to hear about your problem with the line. I take mine off during the close season and coil in about 10"diam loops and tie with pipe cleaners, then store them in a round biscuit tin over the winter. I have a Hardy Premium DT2F for my 3/4wt rod, excellent for those delicate casts and an Airflo Chalkstream DT4F on my 5/6 reel. I probably use these two the most. Peter.

Great tip , cheers will try that in future .
Sounds like my Hardy marksman DT2F line should be fine on my new Greys 3wt rod , delicate presentation is what I'm after , though I realize that's more technique than tackle . Might try putting my DT5f reel on my new 6wt rod this evening just to try out the new rod .
Incidently , caught my first Scottish brownie last night on that Airflo ridge line with a wet fly and it did cast well in a wind .

I must admit Jolly p, I found the same problem with airflow, but a guy gave me a tip, to keep the line in tip top condition he recommended that after each session use some amorall, its silicone based and really worked well in restoring lines, i have a long garden and i tend to hang the line, stretched out in the garden to get any memory out of it. amorall you can pickup at halfords.
I have changed to Courtland now and cannot fault the lines.
