| Re: fly line advice needed
I take mine off during the close season and coil in about 10"diam loops and tie with pipe cleaners, then store them in a round biscuit tin over the winter. I have a Hardy Premium DT2F for my 3/4wt rod, excellent for those delicate casts Peter.
Great tip , cheers will try that in future .Sounds like my Hardy marksman DT2F line should be fine on my new Greys 3wt rod , delicate presentation is what I'm after , though I realize that's more technique than tackle . Might try putting my DT5f reel on my new 6wt rod this evening just to try out the new rod . Incidently , caught my first Scottish brownie last night on that Airflo ridge line with a wet fly and it did cast well in a wind . |
