Re: best flies I know nothing about fly fishing at all. But seeing as it is May, I would probably try May Flies or Black Flies as I've heard them called!

Re: best flies I would find the nearest tackle shop to your fishing location and ask advice, also befriend a local fishing the river, as he would offer the best possible advice going......if all else fails do some research of your own...River tey fishing flies? on your web browser....your be amazed what pops up!

Re: best flies well it depends what ur fishing for? so most likely wild brown trout? im from northern ireland and a conamara black works well along with pheasent tail nymph. i say mainly wet flies although i dont know the sport well as im only 17 so maybe im wrong i say any SMALL black wet flie with a wee bit of colour on the tail. black phennel or connamara black. and also take the barb of the hook, its alot easier realeasing the fish!
