| Slow Start This must be the slowest start to the season that I can remember. We still have snowmelt coming down from the hills, so the water is freezing. Having said that. I have not had a blank, although I`ve still to break the 1/4lb barrier. My mate opens his season this Friday afternoon and has refused to accept that my fish were the first of the season . There is a case of Magners at stake come the end of the year (we`ve been doing this for the last 3 years and I lead 2-1 , although I don`t think his win will ever be bettered), so I suppose I can`t blame him. Anyone else experiencing such a slow start? Peter![]() |

| Hi Jeff, I`ve been informed that the season starts tomorrow and that fish caught to date, do not count. So the Magners is on ice so to speak. I would have done the same myself anyway. Sounds like your season is well up and running, long may it continue for you my friend. Peter |
