| Storm passed thru by lunchtime; sun came out with a light SW breeze; just went for a couple of hours. Trout couldn't get enough of the 'coral' booby. Loads of rainbows caught, biggest nearly 4lb; all returned ( not deeply hooked - because on Di7 line you feel every twitch ). These were not recent stockies - lake last stocked mid Sept. Fantastic mid-winter afternoon in S Wales __________________ * <0((fluff))< " 90% of the fish are in 10% of the water " |

| Re: Trout went mad! Nice one Fluff. I always find after a storm the freshwater fish feed a lot more. One session it was really hot I only caught 2 carp until around 6 when there was a storm and from 7-8pm (after the storm) i caught 6 carp all from the same spot, with no grounbait or loosefeed going in.. Well done again ![]() __________________ Dan `·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ Big or small, look after them all! ¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º> |

| Sounds lovely!!! Its a beautiful day here for January in New England, but, alas, I don't think I'm going to be able to get out of the office to get in some casts before dark... Why oh why must this work thing always get in the way of fishing?!?!?! __________________ Cheers, Hunter |

Did you use a long or short leader? Good news on the reel front I see. I have 2 Abu Red 7000's great reels. |

Leader was about 16 inches. Fished veeeeeery slooooooooow fig of 8 with a slight stop and twitch. They seemed to be feeding on the edge of a weed bed in about 8ft of water. I was amazed after all the rain the water was crystal clear. The other day after the water was discoloured after rain and the fish were being very difficult. __________________ * <0((fluff))< " 90% of the fish are in 10% of the water " |
