Avington fishery

I'm fishing at Avington fishery next thursday. I know some people are against it but it should be awsome. Hopefully I will can land a nice double figure trout.

Good morning guys, best of luck TJN, only had one double rainbow and that just made it by 3 scales. Am I right in thinking there are some issues with Avington Fishery? Once again good luck. DS.

Yeh some people don't agree with it as the trout are fattened up.

You go and enjoy yourself and stuff what people say, you are there to fight the fish get the heart pumping. Ive had 72 double figure rainbows over many years and they are not as easy to catch as you think, i will give you a huge tip, dont stand up to close to the bank, i have stood at one place 15 feet back from the bank as 98% of trout follow you right in and if they see you they will not take the fly. I took same advice and i had one nearly every cast. As i said go and enjoy yourself. Yeah they get fed allright that= power and thats what you will feel with any size trout dont mind a double. Great sport. Many anglers have had many a blank. One more tip locate the fish, top- middle or bottom= great success.

Fish shown was caught 3 years ago and wife put it on my 40th birthday cake(bless her) Fish at that time was my(fish on cake) pb 15lb 9oz (pb now @18lb 6oz caught same place) that day i had 9 fish over 12lb. Fish caught on a size 14 hares ear. Look at the water guys flat calm, and snow on the ground.
