Fly tying advice?

Got any??? I am starting my fly tying endeavor probably tomorrow night. I have basically everything I need, as well as some good books on the subject, but I'm always on the lookout for some advice from folks with experience.

Seems most of the UKers have gone off to bed or to the pub for a pint , but I'll be back tomorrow, so post away!!

Talking Re: Fly tying advice?

Oi Oi,

I tie 99% of the flies that I use, including those that I intend to use later in the year for pike & saltwater. Still, my advice is don't necessarily stick to the materials that are listed in a particular flies make up, study photos & if possible a sample of what you are attempting, if you don't have the stated materials, improvise. You often find that you prefer your own to the original. When you see a photo of a fly you like the look of, try to copy it.

Good luck.
