noob question? need an all rounder!

want to get into my fluff chucking but noway am i going to be able to afford
the prices of my local chalk spring fisheries,
so its a case of looking for a set up i can use for carp/chub on my local waters, also somthing i can use in the local esturies and other spots like the local power station (presumably for bass and mackys) off to SE Asia later in the year so you can see im arfter an alrounder that has a little bit of poke
but still sporting!
budget of £100 ish

Hi Jeffski, have you had a look at the Flextec rods on Ebay? I bought a couple last year as spares, cost me £60.00 for the two (incl. postage). I was knocked out with them when I got round to using them. 1) an 11`0" 7/8wt, I used for salmon fishing. 2) A 9`0" 5/6wt I used for loch fishing. The dealer is Tackle Discounts, they also stock Flextec reels and lines too. I reckon you could pick up the rod, reel and line for your £100 easily.Peter I almost forgot, from what you tell us , I would go for a 9`or 9`6", 6/7 wt rod. I think this would handle your needs. hope this helps. Peter
