One of my local rivers

These are a few of the stretches on one of the rivers I fish. It has some great runs and pools. Peter

Thumbs up Re: One of my local rivers

Hi Rob, thanks for the comments. Yes it`s a brilliant wee river to fish, all 23miles of it (including tributaries) and all for the princely sum of £20.00 per season. It holds salmon, sea trout and browniesand although I`ve yet to catch a sea trout, I`ve caught a few salmon and plenty of browns. There are few stretches where you can`t wade, because of the depth, but it tends to be naturally shallow and the wildlife is amazing. I do tend to fish this river most (it`s only 10 minutes from my house), although I have permits for 2 others. My best fish to date are a 2.1/2lb brown, and a 7.1/2lb springer. Peter.

I'm a bit the same to be fair as the rivers I fish are in my locale...should venture further afield really but everything I like to catch is on my doorstep, might get a few salmon parr from the royalty sometime soon if i'm lucky lol. Need it for our species hunt we're doing here on the forum

Hi Flyman, too right I am, 14th March is still too far away. My last visit to the river was during the recent snowfalls and this is what it was like.

there were a few stretches that were iced bank to bank. Thanks for the comments Peter

Hi Dave, thanks for your comments, I appreciate them. I fish 3 rivers up here, but this happens to be my favourite. Peter

Nothing I like more than a good river scene other than a good pic of a good river scene. These are excellent.
