| Re: HELP with fly line I use weight forward for salmon/grilse in our club river, tried dt and went back to wf, but i am not a bad fly angler and can do a mend and a line pull back b4 line hits the water. Getting dt line is not easy like hens teeth. I would recommend ss thats slow sink if she is 5-6 foot deep and medium sink if she is a bit deeper after rain when she rises, and floating line with a tube fly on a long leader if its for salmon/grilse in the summer. As line goes your 16 so dont waiste your money on cr.p line go for cortland or greys they will last you 10years+. Fly fishing is a huge learning curve and you will learn as you go. ![]() |
