| Aaaarrgghhhh!!!! Fairly new to fly fishing and went to my local Trout lake on Saturday. Lost 2 good fish (one bit me off when fishing a lure - Pike maybe?) Then had THIRTEEN follow-ins!!! You know what it's like, you get to the last few yards of water and you see a fish following your lure, so you speed up a bit to induce a take but then run out of water 'cos the rod's gone past your shoulder. Then the fly stops and the fish turns away.....Aaaarrgghhhh! ![]() Is there anything else I can do? Any tips or tricks you've found successful to induce a take on a follow-in? ![]() |
