Re: novice fly fisher

had a practice today

started off in the workshop, nearly smashed the light so decided to go down to the hamble for a try.
drove down to hamble found a quiet spot with onone around, got set up and was doing quite well (think i was anyway) then the wind decided to change direction almost got line tangled up in dingey rigging, so thought i would call it a day.

will have another go at the weekend

Well done Brett,

Good first time out. Always cast with the wind either behind you or coming over your right shoulder... this way it makes it easier to cast and less likely you will hook yourself. Notes are in the post mate!!

Re: novice fly fisher

Hi novice fly fisher,
Welcome to the forum. Sound like you are doing pretty well with the casting. The more you practice the better you will get at it.

Bob
