| Chew Went to Chew last week to try a couple of fry patterns i had tied up. Fished the bank by the lodge .Quite afew fish hitting the fry by the boats on the jetty. My mate was the first into a fish he had on for quite a while until it jumped and spat the fly out it looked a good 5lb rainbow, The only thing i caught were pike a few felt quite big till they bit through my leader.I did manage to land a couple of jack pike which are great sport on the fly rod.HOpefully better luck on the trout next week.   flyman     |

| Re: Chew nice fish im guessing a jack pike is kind of like a grilse. just a younger pike at what weight would it be classed as a pike? __________________ What a tourist terms a plague of insects, the fly fisher calls a great hatch. |
