| On the dry Allandale Tarn 24/05/08 On Saturday evening I popped along to my local fishery, Allandale Tarn near Polbeth.A small crystal clear water with rainbows and browns the quarry.A floating line with a midge pupa on the bob and a black c.d.c parachute buzzer on the tail.Bright conditions to start with only the odd swirl at the midge but it was odds on there would be a rise when the sun went down. [IMG] [/IMG]The fish started rising about 8.50 and I had one rainbow before 9 on the c.d.c a further two bows followed quickly to make the limit 3 for 7lb 4ounces.Two more bows fell to the black gnat and were caught and returned. An enjoyable evening on the dry. [IMG] [/IMG]Allandale Tarn, well worth a visit for the eveing rise. |
