Re: What A Waste

where there are small pike and trout there are big pike also, and theres nothing more big pike like than a Jack or two for dinner! A water with pike in is a healthy water. people should enjoy the scrap and put them back unharmed.

Re: What A Waste

Why dont people stock perch? As with pike the perch will only grow to 4-5lb and will normally only eat injured or not so strong fish. I have seen a lake where there was no sort of predatory fish and the lake became to populated and there was no oxygen in the lake so alot of fish floated to the top and many more were lo

im afraid if your a trout fishermen and fish small still waters course fish are the last thing you want as they bring problems like lice and parasites which dont seem to effect the course fish but rainbows really suffer
i dont think pike are a problem if kept to an acceptable level but if your paying to fish for trout! trout is what you should be predominately catching

Re: What A Waste

On your local fly fishing puddle a few pike could cause a problem but on lakes as vast as Chew I can't see any reason that a cull would be necessary.
