| house of hardy i have been offered an origional 1940s house of hardy resavoir split cane fly rod in good condition for £100 is that a good deal? and is their a site where i can get it valued? i know hardy rods are collectable |

| Re: house of hardy Some Hardy rods are much more sought after than others. Try checking Ebay to see what others are fetching. There's a fair few collectors who advertise in Trout & Salmon magazine. Try checking their websites too. |

| Re: house of hardy You need to ask yourself a few questions before you decide to buy such a rod: 1. What is the rod worth to me as either a collector or in sentimental value. If it had any sentimental value, I don't think you would be asking any questions. 2. How much can I make if I move the rod on. I would have to think that if someone was offering me a Hardy Rod at £100 then that was the maximum it was worth if not less. It's so easy to sell it on ebay now. I am never ceased to be amazed by the number of people that seem to think that because it is old it is worth something. Some things are some are not, just be careful and do your home work before you part with any hard earned cash. |
