Getting started.

Hello folks,

I've decided to give fly fishing a go and was just wondering what would be the best way to go about getting started. I guess lessons are a must but what equipment would I need to get?

Thought I'd ask here first, as I'm sure my local fishing shop would be happy to help, but would like to get an idea first of what I can expect to pay/buy to get me started. (Aswell as a bit of general info.)

Many thanks.

Re: Getting started.

Join a club you will meet like minded people and someone will take you under their wing, and get you going, second hand tackle rather than new till you decide you like it.
