Fished the scierra pairs fly comp on wednesday had agreat day didnt qualyfy
for final came 4th,taking part in my 1st comp was enough .
Fishing was from 10am to 6pm 12 fish boat limit and a 2ib time bonus for
every hour early you was back at the jetty.
My set up was intermediat line blob top dropper ,cormerant middle,and
a flash back damsel onthe point.We started the first few drifts at the jetty
just hoping to get in early,didnt work so we head of for Bill smiths bay at the
top of the res.First drift along the bank 3 fish to the blob 1 to damsel.
the fish were tight in to the bank i was the lucky one so my mate siad he was on the engine.we caught 11 fish by 1 oclock plenty more on and of just couldnt land the last bugger,it took us another 2 hours to get the last fish.
we finished with 12 for 19lb, 6lb time bonus.Had agreat day but hard work pulling lures all day i must be getting old .
