American streamers

Hi
I'm new to this forum, but have been fly fishing for some time, I plan to target some of the large [perch in a local river and would like to get my hands on some of the US Style streamers, such as a Silver Darter, can someone reccemnd a shop or online store where I can get some. I normally use sportfish on the web or the Orvis shop in Bath. Its possible that Imissed them, but would appreciate some pointers.
Many thanks

See these fc : http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...pod&id=0018080
None of these are that difficult to tie...Why don't you give it a shot?
You can get as simple as a needle nose plier w/rubberbands around the handle to hold the hooks, feathers from a duster, and plain old sewing thread , w/ ladies finger-nail polish for head cement....
Its astounding, the (r@p fish will bite on!!

Good Luck
Nelson

Re: American streamers

Many thanks for the link, my fly tying is OK on nymph's, I don't have much in the way of materials for streamers, I mainly use the feathers and fur I find in this part of the world, thers lots of pheasant shoots, some duck shooting, and I deal with rabbits and other vermin with the air gun. Just don't have much thats bright and sparkly in the flytying bix.
Thanks again.

Re: American streamers

I've always found flymail do a big selection of flies at great prices check them out here http://www.flymail.com They have some great Pike/saltwater flies as well which may be good in the small sizes. Personally I fish a lake in the cotswolds for trout that is choc full of Perch at one end and the fly that catches the most is a size 10 gold head hares ear nymph - they love it!
