Fishing season opened up this last Sunday, but the river was still frozen in places so it didn't make for the best fishing. A few anglers took their rods to the river to try their luck and were able to go home with a spring salmon. It has been a steady mix of rain and snow so far all this week with fairly cold temperatures, and while there is still ice in the river, it has been slowly but surely opening up. The sun came out this morning and it is a nice warm day, you can look out the window here and see chunks of ice floating down the river!
