Smile Blagdon result

Set of 6am to blagdon on a cold wet morning in the valley,s,
arrived just after 7am which is good for us we usely get lost.
We fished at cheddar water by the dam, onlyone person there plenty of room for 3 of us .
I set up with a intermediat mini cat top dropper, dail bach middle, and gold head damsel on the point, first cast into a fish for got how powerful those
blagdon fish are.
WE caught on avariety of flies ,damsel,dail bachs,blackgreen tadpoles,black buzzers,and boobies,ifinished the day with 10 fish,kept 6 to 5lb.
MOST of the fishermen were over on north shore ,butcomb ,we had people saying they wasnt catching any thing, so they slowly came over this side of the lake were most people had their fish at greenlawn and rainbow point.
Plenty of big fish between 5lb and 7lb being caught every were.
We also had our photo taken by a bristol paper ,who wanted action shot s for the angling section, any of you bristol fishermen coulld let me no.
the weather was great light breeze coming of the dam over cast and mild.
Cant wait to get back there again a fantastic day out.

Re: Blagdon result

well done nice session! hope they put you all in the bristal fisging mags, with professional shots of you flicking a line out with steely determintation and a hawkeye with the sun rising in the background and a rainbow jumping clear of the water in the foreground!

Thumbs up Re: Blagdon result

Cracking catch Flyman. that's a great result from Blagdon in such cool weather. I'ts never the easiest of fisheries early season, but it sounds like you've got it sussed. Well done.

Re: Blagdon result

Well done, a nice session by the sound of it...as Greenheart said, it's not easy fishing in this weather condition, so any fish caught is well deserved.
