| Re: My 1st Fly Fishing Lesson Hi All, Many thanks for your kind comments, I am still waiting to hear if there is a vacancy or not, can't hurry these decisions. Not having ever thought of Fly Fishing, I didn't realise how thrilling it is. Playing that first fish with a pencil thin rod and a 4lb trace was just a wonderful experience not to be missed. Walking round a lake with a small haversack and a lightweight rod is a lot different to lugging half a hundredweight of gear of and on a charter boat but for all the difference I still love the excitement of planning for a days sea fishing. With a little bit of luck I may have it both ways, in the meantime I will just have to keep my fingers crossed.
