Anglers Wanted

I have the germ of an idea for an angling photoshoot/short film.

I am looking for three, possibly four fly anglers who know what they're doing when targetting wild brownies.

The location is certainly, ...er...'rural' and the majority of fish have probably never seen an artificial. All I can say at this point is the location is Southwest England.

I am working on permissions to camp, the timing has not been sorted, there is no pay, but the fishing will be free. You even have to bring your own Bacon and tents (Unless I can persuade one of the tackle companies to sponsor it...unlikely tbh) but I thought I'd ask in here if anyone would be interested?

Great idea, if i lived closer ide jump at the chance, had over 400 wild brownies last year in our club river. In post" Picture of me in the flesh" last week that trophy was for biggest wild brown trout. Great stuff look 4ward to the reports. Tight lines to all on the fly(my 1st choice the fly by a mile).

If this one works out Paul, you never know. We might be calling your neck of the woods in the future

Re: Anglers Wanted

I had already identified a few waters Pete. I was looking at the wilderness angle, as per my Dartmoor post.

However, your suggestion is equally interesting if we get a better response from volunteers huh?

Re: Anglers Wanted

Still early days on this one, however.

At this time, two waters seem promising. Avon Dam, as in my wilderness fishing post. Remote, desolate, and at least a 5 mile round trip on foot from the car.

Option 2, I am still investigating. Venford. Remote, desolate, but less than half a mile from the nearest car park, and only two miles from the nearest pub.

Do we need a poll?
