| Types of Fly Hello to all, i am new to fly fishing and i have booked a 2 week Cottage Holiday in July by a lake in Wales which has Brown Trout in. If possible does anyone have any idea of what type of flies would be best used at that time of year. Regards Yorkie |

| Re: Types of Fly Welcome to the forum. If they are wild brown trout simple; Floating line 7-8foot leader and 2 size 14 goldhead hares ear, now put them nomore than 2foot apart one on point and the other on a dropper, cast accross off river and let it drift slowly and at same time slow figure of 8 retrieve, after line has fully come round give a wee wrist backward flick= fish on. If its stocked brownies let the forum know and thats easy peasy. I had over 400 wild brownies last season and 300+ came to the above method. Paul |
