My Salmon river, Time spent wisely.

When the season is over,it really has only reopened never is it closed,what did i learn,what did i see, where was i when i saw it,did it rain,was i at the kneck in time when i could of got a take, did i wait till the rain stopped and was i at the place of reast till they ran again. Was i there just before they lay there head to rest and yes once again i got a take. So i sit and think when will they show again and yes i will be ready but this time i will follow them from the start of there journey not halfway up, if only i got there in time. I count every day to make sure i meet them wisely, so yes the season never closes. I learnt that this season and it is only my 2nd season salmon fishing. Come one with your river and it will let you in. Tight lines. Paul.

Did i say that i learned that in 2nd year at salmon fishing in my private club yes it takes 20 years to get into club 600 members it took me 5 years as i live 1 mile down the road from the most beautiful river in the world in my eyes the big agivey as she is 12 miles long and her pools if you fancy a day ticket you can type in agivey anglers on google and see her beauty wild brown trout record 7lb 10oz and she comes alive with her salmon grilse runs, record 22lb 7oz. What took me 2 years to learn was taught to me by an angler who taught me and told me what you have learned took me 10 years to learn. Also i have a rod for springers next year on the river bann,and i hope to catch one first and put a pic or two on site. Ive had 4 salmon ive been taught well but so much to learn. Thanks guys,i won a trophy for a wild trout in club 2lb 12oz and trophy is dated 1974 i was proud i can say when it was presented to me at dinner dance last week. There were nearly 20 trophys up for grabs for heviest salmon,heviest trout each month and one guy won a trophy for a salmon at 12lb. Guys i have a picture of my 2nd salmon it was 5lb 2oz caught last year in my wifes camara how do i get it as a picture on site. Many thanks. Paul.

I sit and read: Salmon taking times, and i think what a beautiful fish on there journey to spawn in our beautiful river, i saw them only yesterday over there bed, oh what a beautiful sight i did see. My rod was not for the catch but my eyes to see oh what a beautiful sight. Tight lines all for next season. Paul.
