Fish in focus

Plaice breed from July to December. Their main spawning grounds are south of the North Sea's Dogger Bank. The flat fish can grow up to 40cm and live up to 50 years.

Cod occur mainly in the north and central North Sea, with spawning between January and April, usually in offshore areas. They can survive for up to seven years and grow up to 40cm long.
