how can you tell the difference between the 2??? also i notice alot of flat fish come out with green on them, does this mean they're ill and cannot be eaten? :?

never seen one with green on them unless its seaweed :?

dabs are a lot smaller and up your way they are light colour i think

flounders have a rough bit on their head and are normally fatter too


i never even caught a dab
i love em but still never ad 1

down here dab are dark but up there they are light sandy colours

dont know how i know this much about them and have never caught one :?


good with the flanders though

tackle shop exmouth rate rag and razor plus crab, although as yet to catch flattie from exe myself
tide on 23 is 05.04 high 3.2 and 11.24 lowm 0.9 back up for 17.32 at 3.1,
if not limited to area hear best place is right up behind turfs lock hotel on the wall as right on the channel hope this helps and good luck

just been to tackle shop exemouth apparently the exe is fishing very poor this year9makes me feel better) but need crab towards mouth of estuary and worm higher up from lympstone /turfs area hope this helps
