Hi guys,

Sorry had to do some work!!!

Best baits: Maddies or small rag worms/lug but must be small 10-12 at a time. Say 3 or 4 up the line rest bunched, But leave 2 or 3 hanging so they wriggle.

Best rig: Wishbone as per the one I gave to Kiwi Marty

Bascically tie a big blood loop, then cut the bottom of the loop next to the blood loop knot... not the top as you want it to stick out. One snood must be 4-6 inches longer than the other. Then add some beads not too many, fav colours green and yellow or black, Orange/Red and yellow with silver sequins in between. I only ever put 4-6 on.

Top of this rig should be tied a swivel to connect to your main line use a genie link cos sometimes you may have to cut the line as they have swallowed the hook. Overall lenght 3-4 feet. This should be made out of 20-25lb Memorex or what I use Fluro Carbon.
Main line 15lb or less. The reason you use heavier snoods is because you will be lifting them two at a time and anything less and the wishbone does not stand proud.
Your lead should go above this rig on your main line stopped by a bead at the swivel. Same with the gripper. Pear or bullet lead must be free running.

Hook size: long shank 2's or 4's

Rods: Bass Rods or Carp Rods

Weight sizes: Pear shaped or Rond ball weights 2-3 ozs, plus 3-4oz grip leads for when its running out in the main channel.

Method: Lob one out into the channel and let it roll round until it stops. Then lob another out but closer in, again let it roll around. Do this and you will find the depressions the little blighters like so much to hide in.

You will need wellies or waders as it is muddy in places.

Plus lots of money for your local guide at the pub afterwards!
