Re: Flounder Food

where i work at a fish n chip shop there are big draws which have all the cod in, by the end of the night these have filled up with cod juices, though about trying some of that
or maybe freezing it inside an ice tube tray n putting bits inside squid before casting

Re: Flounder Food

Hi Guys,

In and around the Stavanger area I have been catching dabs and flounder on boiled shrimp or mackerel strips, not really much choice for baits here as most people fishing from the shore are fishing with "pirks" and are fishing for mackerel. Infact I have yet to find a proper tackle shop with bait, as most fishing gear seems to be sold in sporting goods shops or supermarkets. I will be giving squid a try soon after I have visited the asian food shop where it is sold!

Tight Lines!

Richard

Re: Flounder Food

I think it may depend slightly on the time of year and what the fish expect to find as thier natural food example that I can quote on this would be in the muddy esturys where for example you would find peeler then peeler crab works best but if in the same area you find rag beds then rag will work better.
