| Re: help Hi Fawlty. 1) Yes, you will need a license, these can be purchased from your local Post Office, or online here 2) You could use your spinning rod to do some spinning. If you use small spinners you can catch chub, and I believe there's pike in there so you could try for them with bigger lures etc.. Please note: Always attatch a wire trace when spinning. 3) As mentioned, spinning will be a good method. But, I imagine you could trot a float using a spinning rod. You'll need, some stick floats, some shot, size 16 hooks, maggots. In my opinion that will catch you a variety of species. To trot a float, chuck a few maggots in upstream so they will flow through your swim before settling on the bottom. Cast your float a little upstream and then (keeping your bail arm open) let it trot downstream. Hope that helps a little mate, and good luck __________________ Dan `·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ Big or small, look after them all! ¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º> |

| Re: help thanks for that mate ,spinning sounds like the best method for me as i wont need to take very much gear with me ,although i could always pack extra fishing kit and leave the missus at home, bit of a risk though it is our 30th wedding anniversary that week.cheers fawlty ![]() |
