Exclamation floats

I have just been given a number of different size floats. only one has the weight on it. what's the easiest way to find out the max weight of each float.

Well depend how log they are , but just cut off the top of a two ltr lemande bottle fill with water and you can get the wieght right from the comfort of your kitchen

You've jsut got to remember that the pressure is different in a bottle than lakes so it may need slight adjustment at the lake side, I tend to slide the float 4ft up the line and use the bulk shotting method until the water is at the base of the tip then i plumb depth etc I then tend to find that the shot needs adjusting as i change it to 'shirt button' pattern but it isn't majorly time consuming

Everything with fishing is trial and error- the right weight to put on the line, the right time to fish, the right hole- even down to the right type and variation of bait.;
