try some fruit you would personally like to eat because after the first cast or so, you could eat the rest of it, and then no money is wasted.

Good idea luke, i think ill try using some orange or apple, or both! Aye it saves buying pellets! Also would it be a good idea to chuck fruit in the water in small chunks around the bait to get them going?

good question dan,i too have thought of this,perhaps a chunk of banana would be good presented the same as you would luncheon meat,
another bait i think might be worth a try i think is a grape,perhaps peeled and presented on a hair,
what do you think ?

Yeah, I've heard of banana being used for chub, and banana boilies work well for tench, so why wouldn't they take the real thing?

Definitly worth a try!

I also caught a small common on a yellow wine gum.

It was a slow winters fishing day and i wasnt catching on anything else so I popped one on and bingo.

Made me smile fot he rest of the day.

Arnt Elderberries(ripe) meant to be a good roach bait??

No, i read somewhere some guy tried for a whole month with grapes and they didn't work so thats one friut down. I will try apple or orane tommorow for carp then and see how i do.
