Re: i need TIPS on float fishing please!

Welcome to the fishing forum

Well if you are using the same bait and fishing the same pegs then here are some thoughts

1. What LB line are you using as if its heavy then the better fish might be spooked by it

2. Do you loose feed ? As better fish like a bed of bait to get there heads down feeding

3. What float rig do you use as sometime its better to get the bait straight down before the small fish can pick it up

4. One thing to do is if people are catch better fish is it just watch them and see what thier set up is / bait / hook size ect

Fishing is fishing and many many times I have been out and the person next to me is bagging up and Im finding it hard to catch good fish . Even though I m using some bait ect

But there is always something - number of maggots fishing on the drop ect

Hope the above makes some kind of sense

Re: i need TIPS on float fishing please!

There are a couple of tips that can help you...
1) Plumbing the depth: So u can find the depth so u know if you are not getting anything mid water or on top you can then go on the bottom and see what is around...
2) Weighting: Try different amount of weights so that your float sits in different depths on the surface. Reason being that fish may be having a "pecking" day so if you have the tip of the float just above the surface, you may just be able to get them.

There are a few more but i cant think at the moment, when they come to me i shall post them for you....
