Humminbird Smartcast RF20 Rod Mount Wireless Fish Finder

Humminbird Smartcast RF20 Rod Mount Wireless Fish Finder
First of all Welcome to the fishing forum sisomphone

So what is the Smartcast RF20 fish finder

Well as the picture above shows its a fish finder that clips on your rod .Smartcast RF20 was brought out after the Smartcast RF30 and was designed for ease of use as the RF30 is worn on your wrist and some people found it a bit hard to reel in and watch the screen

So are they worth buy ? Its a nice little add on to your tackle box but it is not like having a full blown fish finder . Ideal for scouting waters and seeing what is going on down below . Not for used for ice fishing , and has trouble with choppy water so its more of a lake slow river item ( my view anyway )

If you have got the spare dollars then what the hay , I would recommend shopping around as they seem to be cheaper online than the local shop

I have one and use it for scouting lakes and save so much time and yes you can find shoals of fish ect

For none USA guys and girls reading this , the green sensor is only for USA and in the UK you have to buy the orange type that are only avalible in the UK as its to do with transmitt regulations .So if you buy one in the states you will not be able to use it in the UK ( law wise ) - which is a pain

Just attatch the Remote Sonar Sensor™ to your line and cast for instant, accurate views of what's below. Real-time views of fish , bottom, and structure - all the benefits of a traditional fish finder in a small, lightweight, battery-powered unit.

Re: question about a product, please help

thats abit rubish, why do they only last 400hrs?
is that because they have an inbuilt battery or just so you have to buy loads?
