| Handle and reel fittings? look please! Hello people ROD HANDLES and reel fittings? Your views, how would you improve them? what material do you consider best to use on a rod handle ? e.g Cork style Duplon PLASTIC! (YOU MUST BE MAD) Anyone know any other types that are used on any type of rod not just carp rods? i know there is a rubber substitute type handle but not sure of the actual name??? Let know what you think about the different styles of the grip shape, as on some of the new-ish rods they have finger style grooves... Reel fittings? what type do you think is best and why? Which styles do you hate the most? have they ever caused any damage to your reel? e.g chiped the paint? Cheers guys dave |

| Re: Handle and reel fittings? look please! Suppose my favorite is the Grip Lok found on newer abu reels. Fast to secure but does tend to move the reel if it isn't super tight. I also like it because of the bit sticking out to put your finger on for a firmer hold. | Re: Handle and reel fittings? look please! ah i see similar to some of the american 2baitcaster rods' (what we we call spinning rods. They are rather good except you have to have the right type of reel as i have seen some people using coarse reels with a spinning outfit before... was amazuzing but as the guy was massive i didnt bother telling him ![]() |
