| Re: Treble hooks Quote:
Treble hooks are mainly used on lures i.e spinners or plugs or for presenting a deadbait when fishing.they are used in both freshwater and sea fishing in various sizes .. On a lure the majority of them have a spinning or wobbling action so a single hook would result in a lot of missed fish.. As for using to rig a bait normally one of the three barbs is placed into your bait fish and the other two left protruding ( usually two of these trebles are mounted on a short piece of wire ).. Out of interest if you fish a competition to match rules and there is a 3 hook limit then one treble hook will count as ALL 3 ! Steve __________________ Shore Species 2012: Bugger All !! |
