| Newbie needs advice Hello I've just started fishing again and i could do with picking your brains - I recently fished a local lake (small lake) used a 1.6 crystal waggler float , sized 14 hook and a worm for bait - nothing touched the worm but they went crazy for crunched up cracker off the surface which i threw in out of desperation - I then used a bit of cracker on the hook but they obviously saw me coming - nada! A previous time (not fishing) me and my lad had thrown bread in for canadian goose and again the fish came to the surface and munched it up. Any help would be gratefully recieved. btw - not catching anything almost didn't matter - the sun was shining, the birds were singing yada yada yada - would have been nice though! ![]() Ross |

| Re: Newbie needs advice they may have been spooked by the line,or hook.when i top for carp i use fluorocarbon zig rig line or good old vaseline on it,to make it float. were they carp or just silver fish? __________________ If it was easy, it would be called catching.
