Fake baits what do you think of them.

I have used fakes baits for 3 weeks such as corn, tiger nuts, maggots and meat. I have been having some bad luck with all of tham i have done the obvs thing i have dipped tham in to the real stuff for 10mins and casted tham in they look real and smell real but there must be some very clever fish out there as they were only going for the real corn, maggots etc. the reson i have been using fake baits as some of my freinds have had some real good bites with them i have done the same as them no luck for me i would tell every 1 to have a little go with them to see what they pull out the pound. what do you think of them good bad or just a waste of money and what if you have had goodens with them what did you get using the fake baits

I use fake corn all the time, i use them with boilies and one of my biggest UK carp was caught using fake corn with real maize, a fish of 21lb. So a thumbs up from me.

Re: Fake baits what do you think of them.

Fake corn works well to make ahair rigged corn, or even one its own move more naturally in the water, the weight of the hook is nuetralised. Topping a boilie will also help presentaion.
I'm not to keen on the fake dog biscuits, I tend to use a dog biscuit fly instead, I think it sits on the surface more naturally, and the fakes look like they have been in the water for a long time and absobed to much water. The fly version, looks just like the loose feed.

I have heard of and seen people to great effect use fake corn, tiger nut or whatever to bulk you their real bait.
